All additional media data that does not correspond to the file type <Image Data> is, by definition, considered documents.

Associated documents for an article may have a supplementary, informative character or may be required, for example, in the form of a hazardous goods data sheet for hazardous materials. Multiple documents of the same document type can be associated with an article. Documents that correspond to the content of multiple document types can be assigned multiple times with the respective document types. For example, a PDF document contains a datasheet and assembly instructions.

Document designation

Detailed description of documents. Example: 5 assembly instructions (all type: MA) for an article without differentiation: differentiation is possible in the context of the sorting order.

Prescription of an order when multiple documents of the same type are associated with the article for optimal use in target systems.

Integer

Document language

Indication of the languages in which the contents of the document are available. Multiple languages can be specified, and if more than one language is indicated, they are separated by a semicolon.

If more than one file is specified for a document type, the description and sorting order should be used to achieve differentiation of the files and clear display.
