Definition von Datenqualität (Definition of data quality)

When defining data quality, the primary aim is to use fixed and standardised quality criteria to evaluate the item master data quality of different data masters and to increase it permanently based on the results. Within the industry, there are manufacturer-specific specifications that prevent every company from being able to fulfil certain data quality requirements because data content relevant to testing is not relevant to the product range and is generally not used. For this reason, it is necessary to consider data quality or the fulfilment of a quality requirement separately in individual cases. A so-called manufacturer profile is introduced for this purpose. In this profile, the company can transmit general specifications and statements on specific data content with its data delivery. This profile becomes part of every data check and enables a differentiated assessment of the master data available.
