ETIM Klassifizierung (ETIM classification)
Overview
With the option to use attributes, products can be classified according to the ETIM (Electrotechnical Information Model) classification model . Providing the ETIM class for the product groups coordinated between ARGE, DGH, and ZVSHK becomes necessary. Further information on ETIM can be found at the web address http://www.etim-international.com
(Enable the automatic English translation in the subtitle option for this purpose)
Under the following links, you will find additional information about the ETIM class model:

The transmission of multiple ETIM versions is generally possible and desired. Each delivered ETIM version should cover the assortment as completely as possible. Features with imperial dimensions should not be used because they are not relevant for the German market.
Data deliveries according to DQR 8 can be provided with ETIM 7 and ETIM 8 data until September 30, 2023. Data deliveries according to DQR 9 are allowed starting from April 1, 2023, with ETIM 8 and ETIM 9 data, and for the last time with ETIM 7 data. The use of ETIM 7 becomes impermissible with the introduction of DQR 10.

When transferring ETIM, the field 'Attribute unit' is not used since the unit is defined by the model.
The field 'Attribute value 2' may only be used for features of type 'Range'. No entry is allowed for features of type 'Logical,' 'Selection,' and 'Numeric.'
The field 'Attribute value description' may only be used in two application cases to specify the color more precisely.
More specific specification of colors Example:

NA – Not applicable (this feature does not apply to this product in the context of the class)
MV – Missing Value (an alphanumeric feature is relevant, but there is no correct value in this ETIM version)
UN – Unknown (currently, the data supplier is unable to provide a specific value, but it would be generally possible)The provision of features filled with a 'dash' is not mandatory.
In the case that the feature is not applicable to the article, this should be indicated with the description 'NA – Not applicable.'"
